ART IN TRADITIONAL SARDINIAN DRESS

DAL 11/03/2016 AL 30/10/2016 Sardinia is a region characterized by a strong tradition and identity. This exhibition shows some parts of original traditional dresses dated back to the end of XIX century and the beginning of XIX century, related to the villages of Osilo, Orani, Siligo and Sinnai; traditional dresses of the village of Atzara and Ollolai are represented by two miniatures, belonging to the Museo della Vita e delle Tradizioni Popolari of Nuoro. The exhibition is enhanced by five beautiful  dresses inspired by the traditional ones, made by the tailor's shop Modolo from Orani, Irene Contini from Sorso, Giovanna Pirellas from Fonni, Giovanna Casiddu from Ittiri, Maria Ausilia Marongiu from Lanusei. Finally, this exhibition is completed by the pictures of the photographer Matteo Setzu from Lunamatrona, passionated about sardinian culture and tradition.
